Nautika by Marie Khouri

This project is called Nautika by Marie Khouri. It was commissioned by the developer of the Olympic Village and it represents the mast of the community down on 2nd avenue near Main street.

This piece was made in 2017/2018 and was complete awaiting installation when our shop burned down. It was inside the shop and we recovered it from the wreckage and did a full refurbishment on it. The wooden mast has burn marks on it still that we lacquered over to show the journey it took to get in place.
